Taste the Authentic Sushi - Sushi Uotada

Today, I want to introduce ”Sushi Uotada”. This restaurant is a Japanese seafood style restaurant. They serve hand-rolled sushi, arajiru, dessert and rice wine. This restaurant is located in a residential area Hiratsuka . You can get
there on foot in 10 minutes from Hirastuka Station south exit.

This restaurant is operated by an elderly couple. In the restaurant there is a counter seats and parlor (座敷). At counter seats you can see and enjoy as the shopkeeper with him makes the sushi before your eyes, and you can enjoy making small talk with him when you go there alone. In the parlor, there is a Japanese style partition in between the seat next to you, so you can  enjoy a conversation with your family.

I went to this restaurant with my family. We seat at counter seats, and my father ordered Chef's Choice(おまかせ). The shopkeeper gave us cooked tuna, shellfish, mackeral (さば), sea urchin(ウニ), shrimp, fried eggs, and he served to us at the pace that we were ready for.

The wife of the shopkeeper gave us arajiru and green tea jelly. Arajiru is on a soup made by shrimp. This arajiru does not smell fishy and it's easy to drink even on a full stomach. Green tea jelly is for dessert. The taste is a little bitter but the fruit in on the jelly was sweet and fresh. With "Chef's Choice" is you can change the order if you have a favorite, so the cost depend on what you choose, but the price is also ¥5,000 ~¥10,000. On that day, my mother came home from a trip, so my father treated us.

Movie Review - The Fox and The Child (2007)

I want to introduce the movie, "The Fox and The Child". This movie came out in 2007. It is a French movie. I found this movie at Tsurumi Library. I chose it because the DVD has a cute cover. This movie's genre is fictional drama. The running time is 90 minutes. The movie director is Luc Jacquet. He is  French. He was born in Bourg-en-Bresse in eastern France. He was a biologist before becoming a movie director. Luc won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature for the movie "March of the Penguins (2005)".

This movie is about a girl named Lila who met a fox named Titu in her childhood. One day, Lila found a beautiful fox in the forest on her way back to school. Since that day, she began going to the forest in order to meet the fox again.

You can learn about the ecology of the fox in this movie. The large nature of the French Alps which is Luc's hometown is the stage of the movie.

I think a good thing about this movie is you can see vivid nature and the seasonal changes. If you feel tired, please take a look at this movie.
